Monday (16-03-2020) I felt quite bummed about the whole pandamnic situation. Out of the blue, all plans and work got cancelled. no more music, just an empty agenda. Then I felt I'd grumbled enough and realised I could turn the situation around and create something I never had the time for.

So I decided I wanted to make 4 percussion compositions from Tuesday till Friday. One composition a day as an experiment to see what would come out. On forehand I thought of some rules to guide me through this work process:

-No instruments other than acoustic percussion instruments
-Everything had to be recorded in my small practise space (11m2)
-Only one microphone allowed (layering tracks is OK)
-24 hours per composition (mixing not included)

At first I hoped to get some sketches for future compositions out of this experiment. But I was quite pleased with the +/-15 minutes of music that were the result and decided to share the whole project with the world.

 Hereby I present to you: ‘’OFF”
an EP as an result of this process.
